The Bartender says, "Why do have a steering wheel in your pants?" The man replies "I don't know, but it’s driving me nuts".
************************
A man walks into a bar, sits down and orders a Bud. He says "Give me a beer before problems start!" The bartender doesn't understand but gives the man a beer. After 15 minutes the man orders a beer again saying "Give me a beer before problems start!" The bartender looks a little bit confused but pours the man a beer. This goes on the whole night and after the 15th beer the bartender is totally confused and asks the man "What do you mean with before problems start? And when are you going to pay for all the beers you drunk." The man answers "You see, now the problems start!"

************************

ATTORNEY: On July 25th you went by the duck enclosure on your farm.
WITNESS: Yes
ATTORNEY: So you passed within a few yards of the enclosure
WITNESS: Yes.
ATTORNEY: Did you notice anything special?
WITNESS: Yes.
ATTORNEY: Could you tell us what you saw?
WITNESS: I saw George.
ATTORNEY: You saw George, the accused in this case?
WITNESS: Yes.
ATTORNEY: Can you tell us what George was doing?
WITNESS: Yes.
ATTORNEY: So, please tell us.
WITNESS: He had his thing in one of the ducks.
ATTORNEY: His ‘thing’?
WITNESS: You know… his dic… I mean his penis.
ATTORNEY: You passed near to the duck enclosure, the light was good, you were sober, you have good eyesight, and you clearly saw what you just described?
WITNESS: Yes.
ATTORNEY: Did you say something to him?
WITNESS: Yes. ATTORNEY: What did you say to him?
WITNESS: I said “Morning George.”

************************
Two drunks had just gotten thrown out of the bar and are walking down the street when they come across this dog, sitting on the curb, licking his balls.
They stand there watching and after a while one of them says, "I sure wish I could do that!"
The other one looks at him and says, "Well, I think I'd pet him first".

************************
Actual Call Center Calls
Customer: "I've been calling 700-1000 for two days and can't get through; can you help?"
Operator: "Where did you get that number, sir?"
Customer: "It's on the door of your business."
Operator: "Sir, those are the hours that we’re open."
Caller: "Can you give me the telephone number for Jack?"
Operator: "I'm sorry, sir, I don't understand who you are talking about."
Caller: "On page 1, section 5, of the user guide it clearly states that I need to unplug the fax machine from the AC wall socket and telephone Jack before cleaning. Now, can you give me the number for Jack?"
Operator: "I think it means the telephone plug on the wall."

Directory Enquiries

Caller: "I'd like the number of the Argo Fish Bar, please"
Operator: "I'm sorry, there's no listing. Are you sure that the spelling is correct?"
Caller: "Well, it used to be called the Bargo Fish Bar but the 'B' fell off."

Then there was the caller who asked for a knitwear company in Woven.

Operator: "Woven? Are you sure?"
Caller: "Yes. That's what it says on the label -- Woven in Scotland "

On another occasion, a man making heavy breathing sounds from a phone box told a worried operator: "I haven't got a pen, so I'm steaming up the window to write the number on."

Tech Support: "I need you to right-click on the Open Desktop."
Customer: "OK."
Tech Support: "Did you get a pop-up menu?"
Customer: "No."
Tech Support: "OK. You told me to write 'click' and I wrote 'click'."
Tech Support: "OK. At the bottom left hand side of your screen, can you see the 'OK' button displayed?"
Customer: "Wow! How can you see my screen from there?"

***********************

Adult Dating Online Social Network Community - A New Joint Like No Other

Social network services (Myspace, Facebook etc.) focus on building online communities of people who share interests and/or activities, or who are interested in exploring the interests and activities of others. Mainstream social networks today provide an online environment for people to communicate and exchange personal information for dating or business purposes. Intentions can vary from looking for a one time date, short-term relationship, and long-term relationship or networking, affiliating and marketing depending on it's focus category.

Most of the mainstream social networks, just like online adult dating services, require users to give out certain pieces of information. This usually includes a user's age, gender, location, interests, and perhaps a picture. Releasing very personal information is usually discouraged for safety reasons. This allows other users to search or be searched by some sort of criteria, but at the same time people can maintain a degree of anonymity. Online adult dating sites are similar to mainstream social networks in the sense that users create profiles to meet and communicate with others, but their activities on the adult sites are for the sole purpose of finding a person of interest to date on a casual sexual encounter basis.

Many sites are broad-based, with members coming from a variety of backgrounds looking for different types of relationships. Adult sites are more specific, based on the type of members they are looking for, interests are more in common, location is not all that important and the relationship desired is already established.
Online adult dating or Internet dating is a dating system which allows individuals, swingers, gays, couples, trannies and groups to make contact and communicate with each other over the Internet, usually with the objective of developing a personal sexual relationship.

Now enter FuckemJoint an adult social network community for adult sex personals, sex dates, advertising and whatever pleases your mind. There are not too many restrictions here, just the usual, must be over 18 years, no child sex videos etc,the twist is you can promote your blog or website to other members without being kicked off the site. The atmosphere is casual with limits abounds.

Fuckemjoint.com is a part of a major dating network called Dating Factory with advanced technology and communication tools give it's members instant access to millions of other members worldwide and hundreds in their local area.
Their extensive search criteria helps each individual member find exactly what they are looking for and the site is constantly adding new features. As with any excellent service company they want each member to feel comfortable in a growing dating community, therefore they have incorporated an experienced team that is available 24/7 offering Support, Help and Advice to all it's members.
Website features

Search
The Quick Search form is on your home page on the left hand side. You can search by Username, sex, age, country, city or postcode/zipcode and connect with other members in no time.

Advanced Search allows you to specify interests and criteria that will help you find exactly what you are looking for. Find someone special from the millions and millions out there.

Browse
The Browse page has all the latest updates for New members, Latest matches using the criteria you specified, Online members, and Upcoming Birthdays to give you a chance to be the first to send them your greetings, as well as Featured profiles — people who take fuckemjoint.com seriously.

Buddies
This category lets members keep everything in one place — those whom you like, do not like and you can also see who looked at your profile and really liked you. Have fun with your friends and keep in touch with the closest ones.

Visitors — members who took an interest and looked into a members full profile. Contact them while they are still fresh on their mind and get to know each other.

Friends — members can add whom they really like into this category and they will receive notification that they have a strong interest in them. Who knows they may like you too.

Blocked — not everyone is the same — useful feature if a member profile becomes too popular and they want to restrict whom they want to talk to.

Chat
Their cool and easy-to-use chat program creates an instant connection between members. Members can see who is on the site now, chat to them, talk to them through their microphone, or turn on their webcam and get even closer and see who is on the other side.

We have created a unique feature “chat later” that allows you to store chat requests in your chat history if you want to concentrate just on browsing the site without being continuously interrupted. You can always see how many people are waiting to chat with you on the main top menu Chat bar.

Mail
All communication with other members of the site is stored in the secure internal Mailbox. You can easily see your received, sent and deleted messages or winks. You can also categorize them by member. This can be useful if you have a long communication with a few of your friends at the same time.

Membership subscription
Fuckemjoint.com has two types of membership — Free Trial and Gold. Gold members can upgrade their profile to Featured.

Trial members can:
•create and update their own profiles
•add or remove pictures and videos to/from their profiles
•browse the website
•send a restricted number of emails
•view other members' default pictures
•send and respond to chat requests
•send and receive winks
•add members to Friends and Blocked
•update profile settings
•receive latest matches to the external mailbox

Gold members can:
•have all the features that Trial members has
•send and reply to an unlimited number of emails and winks
•view other members' galleries
•use text, voice and video chat without restrictions
•get profiles marked as Gold on the search results, which indicates to other members their ability to communicate

Featured profile members:
•get that special touch to be different and stand out from the crowd
•get highlighted in all of the other members' search results and galleries
•are featured on other members' home pages
•gets highlighted in members' mailboxes
•can communicate with both Gold and Trial members
•receive priority listing in the chat program
•get listed in dedicated Featured profiles galleries

The support staff at fuckemjoint.com ia always listening to what it's members have to say. This means going online with protection and using only the services that pass your trust test.

Going online with protection means having current anti-virus and firewall software installed on your computer. Anything less and you're putting yourself at risk. Also, if you have a wireless connection at home-or use one elsewhere-check out this article on wireless safety.

There are several criteria for determining the trustworthiness of a site. The most important of which is the initial sniff test. Because let's face it: some sites just smell phishy (we'll get to phishing in a bit). Maybe it's the cheesy blinking graphics. Maybe it's because they sell other stuff you don't want to be associated with. Maybe you can't quite tell exactly why you don't trust a site. Go with your gut-it's pretty savvy.

A more objective (but not necessarily better) criterion is the privacy policy. What does it say? What do they plan on doing with your personal information? Privacy policies are usually somewhat opaque, since they're written by lawyerly types. But if you can't cut through a privacy policy's legalese to find a clear answer to your questions, don't trust it. It may be totally benign, but you don't know that. Best bet is to keep moving.

In order to stay safe online, here are some other tips for the taking:

Look for Ss. If the site address has an ‘https://' in the address, that means it works with your web browser to scramble your information, keeping it safe from any third-party onlookers. If there is just ‘http://,' any information you give is susceptible to interception. Another ‘s' to look out for is SSL, which stands for secure socket layer. SSL is a method of securing information, and it's an industry standard. Look for mention of SSL in the site's privacy policy or elsewhere.

Choose login and password info carefully. Buying something online usually requires setting up an account with a login name and password. Remember, your password should not be a variation on your name or your pet's. Or your street or hometown. Pick a password that you will remember but not something that someone could easily guess. Try to use upper and lower case letters, as well as symbols and numbers.

Always pay with a credit card. According to the FTC, by paying with a credit card, your transaction will be protected by the Fair Credit Billing Act. Cash and check payments don't come with similar protections, leaving you with little recourse if you don't get what you paid for.

Never give personal information over e-mail. Information sent via e-mail is not encrypted like information entered into a form on a secure web site. If you're ever asked to give personal information via e-mail, the chances are good that you're the target of a ‘phishing' operation, in which a fraudster is pretending to be a trusted company.

Keep meticulous records. If, despite your efforts to be careful, you are the victim of fraud or theft, the paper trail will be invaluable in sorting out the aftermath. Be sure to report any mishaps with the Federal Trade Commission and/or your state's attorney general.

Look for independent approval. There are some organizations that will vouch for the security and/or trustworthiness of a site. While there are very few standards on the web, organizations like the Better Business Bureau, VeriSign and TrustE have emerged as reliable indicators.

Know who you're buying from. Do some research before your buy if you're unfamiliar with the company.

Lastly, since the internet landscape changes so quickly, it's wise to regularly check in with trusted sources to be sure you're current in your precautionary steps. The FTC operates an excellent site called On Guard Online, which is updated regularly with articles and video tutorials.

Car Insurance: Money-Saving Tips

Many people lament the purchase of auto insurance. So we're here to make it less painful. Check out these six money-saving tips and take the sting out of buying insurance.

#1 Raise your deductible. It's a gamble, sure. You'll be responsible for a larger amount of the bill should you get into an accident. However, this is a guaranteed way to lower your annual insurance costs.

#2 Shop around. Staying with the same insurance company year after year may not be in your best interest. You can cancel or change your policy at any time-you don't need to wait for the policy to expire. So shop your insurance every six months and compare prices to ensure you are getting the best deal.

#3 Remove unneeded extras. Although knowing you have towing and rental car coverage may help you sleep at night, those add-ons are rarely used and not necessarily worth the cost. You pay between $10 and $30 a year over the life of your policy to cover towing. And in the unlikely situation that you need a tow, you'll pay about $100. Likewise, a small economy car costs $20-$25 a day to rent and car rental tacks on another $20-$40 to your insurance bill each year. So you can sleep well knowing that you saved yourself some money.

#4 Protect your credit. More insurers have begun using credit-based insurance scores to determine what you pay for your policy. So paying the water bill on time will actually keep your insurance costs down.

#5 Research discounts. Cars with safety and anti-theft devices cost less to insure. You can also knock off a few bucks if you insure your car and home with the same company. People who abstain from alcohol, get good grades in school or take a driver education course are also rewarded with lower premiums.

#6 Get informed. The easiest way to save on any insurance is to research before you buy. And get recommendations from family and friends.

And now for the shameless plug: shop here to find quotes and matched with agents from your area.

Cold Calling or Generated Leads What's The Beef?

Do You Really Have to Choose?

This article from Reuters News revealed something quite surprising: According to a recent online survey, most salespeople would rather give up sex for a month than make cold calls for a week!

In fact, of all the options presented to survey takers, the only event deemed worse than making sales calls to someone you don’t know was having a root canal!

Besides cold calling, having a root canal and giving up sex, choices for least appealing activity ranged from being a surprise guest on a reality television show to speaking in front of an audience.

In this day and age, cold calling has essentially become obsolete. It makes no sense to pick up the phone and call prospects if they’re really not prospects at all. In other words, if they haven’t already expressed an interest in what you’re selling, you’re probably wasting your time—and that’s something you can’t afford to do.

Targeted leads, on the other hand, sends you directly to the right customers: those who are looking for you and the products you sell. font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px; margin: 0px 0px 0.75em; padding: 0px;">The lottery, stock market, horse racing to name a few all lie within what you call a gamble, they each consist of a win or loose end product and yet online gaming in the US has become so restricted by the US government to the point of being outlawed.People flock daily into convinient stores to buy lotto tickets, the stock market for stocks and bonds, horse racing venues for a winning ticket and land based casinos for slots, poker etc. in droves, most do not even bother to declare their winnings or losses on their income tax returns and yet the government made the move to restrict online gambling by making it harder for individual players to gamble in a way that in my opinion is very intrusive.

In order for a US citizen to get an opportunity to gamble online he or she has to declare to their bank that this is the intended purpose of the transaction.Their own hard earned money being subjected to scruitiny only because they wish to have fun gambling online. The lottery, stock market or horse racing players are not restricted this way, they are not required to declare where their hard earned money is going or how much for that matter.

Did these restrictions come to bare due to lobbying by land based casinos in Reno,Las Vegas and elsewhere, did these casinos see a loss in revenue due to the huge influx into online gambling or do they just want to cash in more profits by getting those players that just want to stay in the comfort of their own home and gamble into their casinos. If this is the case then its pure greed and a need to monopolize the gaming industry at the expense of free enterprise.US players comprised up to 65% of the total percentage of online gamblers worldwide 65% ladies and gentlemen and today the percentage is way down there and not worth mentioning.I can see their point of view but i really do not understand it because they all have websites that they promote,my only conclusion is that they do not want to compete with online only based casinos.

If online gambling is a security issue,i do not see how one can finance a criminal enterprise with a game of mostly chance.Gambling is a win or loose game and even professional gamblers loose, the house holds the cards.Drugs on the otherhand can finance a criminal enterprise and they have for a long time now.You cannot pin point a winner in gambling an individual can be real good at it but there is always someone better or more lucky for that matter.

Online gambling in my point of view has great benefits, one does not have to travel at the risk of getting into some accident or into mischief like one would be tempted to get into, with all that booze and other extracalicular activities that i will not mention here readily available in casinos or worse fall victim to criminal elements who want to cash into your winnings.Online gambling gives the player the security of their own home.

Land based casinos today still have the extra edge because they earn huge revenues from hotel accommodations, shows, thyme parks, restaurants and more,so i do not see the logic of any reason why they would lobby for huge restrictions on online gambling. Now do not take my opinion as a true fact,it's just the way i see it,i do not know for a fact that land based casinos did infact lobby for restrictions on online casinos.

I have nothing aganist land based casinos, infact i have spent alot of time in Las Vegas and i love that sin city,it has alot to offer and everyone in America should make a point of visiting because it's very intoxicating and there is no place like Las Vegas on this planet.

All i ask for is a fair shake for all those online casinos because America is based on free enterprise as long as it is legitimate and does not pose a criminal function within it.All affiliates like myself have to submit a legitimate W9 form for verification to the online casino inorder to market their product online and one does not get paid a penny in commissions unless this is done .The W9 form is submitted to the IRS at the end of each fiscal year for tax purposes. So why loose all that tax revenue Uncle Sam even if you feel that the players might be cheating you which is not necessarily true because there are more honest than dishonest Americans.Have a little more faith towards us because we have alot of faith in you and that is why we elect you into that prestigeous office that you hold.

Sexuality & Freedom Of Expression In The Adult Dating Experience

Free expression is one of those gifts that the world has earned through blood and sweat and today the internet has become a great source of free expression and nowhere else is it more expressed and deserved than here in the good old USA. Our female partners have embraced the internet by using it to express their sexuality and this is demonstrated in the countless uncensored adult dating websites from around the globe.

The first time i ventured into this new medium, i was astonished by the extent women went to express their sexuality. Their profiles are filled with full page nude photos of themselves and their written text is both highly sexsually provocative and geared towards seducing whoever reads it. Some of the photos are so graphic in nature that one could classify them as hardcore porn and today with the videos and webcams they are bolder and more sexsually graphic. Once i joined and posted a simple profile, i did not even have to write to any one of the women before i was bombarded with countless emails and winks and mind you i am not at all pretty. The sheer amount of total nudity, sexsual activity and expression was mind consuming to behold. It felt like i had just returned into pubity, i had reached the promised land of major sex, every man's dream. Having just turned forty at the time, i was surprised by the number of twenty somethings that wanted to contact me and that set my blood boiling to a very high degree of anticipation. It was very exciting entering this newly found world and being the adventurous and spontaneous lad that i am i dove right into it and soon found some hookups within my local area. I will not go into detail as to how my dates went but i will tell you this, they were an eye opener.

Now my premise is this,if my own daughter grew up to embrace the world of online adult dating, how would i feel about it. I have already crossed that line and delved into it. How will i react in fifteen years time when she turns eighteen if i find out that she is indeed venturing into this world and lord knows what kind of technology will be available at that time to help enhance this experience online. The way i see it just like any parent would today, i will just have to sit back and cry myself to sleep if i ever found that she has delved into online adult dating. Most of all i hope that i will never get to find out just like many parents today do not. Growing up and experiencing life is something one has no complete control over anyone and we as parents teach and groom our children for the best, the rest is up to them.

An artistic mind will tell you that those nude photos are just an art form of the beautifull female anatomy expressed in a sexsual way and it's a wonderfull thing to see. Even Michealangelo painted the most provocative female portraits of the time and a beauty we still enjoy today. We have grown alot since that time so why should we restrict ourselves today in this age of the internet, why should we condemn the women that want to express themselves in this format and in anycase whether you are in a clean cut dating site or an adult one, the end product is nudity between the two parties when successful. I do not know why alot of us have all kinds of taboos about sex, it's just a natural given activity, why not express it and enjoy it too.

Parents your daughter is not bad or a whore because she chooses to get naked and show her body online, it's just her way of expressing herself and enjoying her sexsuality. Having sex does not make one a bad person it's just part of who we are, it's part of our creation and if it was not made to be pleasurable then we would not procriate and multiply our human kind. Remember too that within any dating format the end product is sex and that is a beautifull thing.

In conclusion i want to let those that avoid adult dating sites to know that, they are missing out on alot of good women who just happen to have strong sexsual expressiveness. Do not be scared, sex is natural and women are sexsual beings just like men are. It does not mean that just because she poses nude online she is easy and you will get lucky on the first date, she is a woman too and a good one at that. I would rather have a woman that is overt by nature, to me she is in plain sight than a woman that is covert and hides alot of skeletons in her closet.

<link rel='related' href='http://www.swingersizzle.info/' title='Sexuality & font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 0.75em; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;">Lately i have seen and heard alot about the Church of Scientology mainly because of it's connection to Mr Tom Crusie the celebrity actor much adored by fans all over the world. This account is my own opinion and mine alone and having been a member of it's elite group the Sea Org,i just want to write a little about the church and not so much my experience there. My account is one of an overview of the beliefs the church has upon it's members and also what i see as it's failure a failure that has led to it's enigmatic not well understood or received profile by the world at large.

The Church of Scientology is very isolated, something that it works hard to be.It is secretive and tends to undermine other church groups by portraying itself as the only source of truth of authority on spirituality, morality, healing and ethics on this planet. There is no gray area within the group that agrees with any other doctrine other than it's own and there is no room allowed to think otherwise,to disagree would land you on the ethics table.Scientology tries it's best to isolate it's members from the same kind of think as the world at large or should i say in the church's term,Wog World, thereby making sure that one does not deviate from it's teachings and thus this being the reason why most people view it as a cult. The church in itself is rigid and very controling ( something i found quite hard to understand since the church claims that most people on this planet, without it's teachings are robots or act like robots which i found quite rediculous since it's control factor made me feel like a robot to it's teachings since one cannot be reasonable about the teachings or even question them, much like any other religion i guess but that is another story, right ) one might say to the point of being forcefull. When one joins up,the church makes a point of making sure that you stay in through its ethics programs which can be rigorous and consist mainly of it's auditing, ethics write ups or manual labor.

Now being a member of the church does not come cheap. For one to climb up the bridge to super spiritual awareness, one will spend quite alot of money,i see this as part of the church's pitfall and as sure as hell it angers alot of people because the tactics used in the persuit of money within the church which is very vigorous and relentless. When the Reg,as they are called comes after your money, you stand no chance of saying no.In my opinion the reason why the church chooses isolation,is because it's teachings and beliefs are well, quite out there and most people will choose to shy away. For one,Scientology's classification of humanity is thus. The Church defines the first as a GROUP and within this "group" is only the white or caucasian the rest of humanity is classified as MANKIND which i found very ridiculous, racist in nature and with a superiority complexity. This could be the reason why there is a great infux by the "GROUP" into the church and not the "MANKIND" and for those that are classified into the MANKIND group of humanity and are of african decent, well be happy because as the church points out,in your past cosmic time of existance in some place in this vast universe you were a space warrior with space ships and all causing all kinds of havoc in galaxies far,far away and i guess you existed as the Kligon of the Star Trek televison and movie series. So with this kind of beliefs, one can deduce that one has to be very much indoctrinated into the church as an individual in order for one to stick it out within the church and thus the isolation approach by the church.Build from within then expand to without.

The arractiveness of the church to an individual is it's structure. It is made to look like a whole new world, which as a matter of fact is the case in all shape and form. The church makes one feel that they are part of something special with a signed contract of belonging with a purpose to make a difference on this planet. It makes one feel belonging to a group,a community of fellow beings and there is nothing more rewarding to a human being than the sense of belonging. It is also stuctured to welcome those with ambition or without ambition to want to be within its nest.Climbing up the organization board of the church is made to be very attractive to all and in my opinion, many stay inorder to fullfill their ambitions.

Now on the other hand the world organizations could learn alot from the church's organizational skills, work ethics and how to structure themselves. The church's educational system is also very well tailored and one does not master anything without being able to pass the application of what you study, you must be able to apply it in the real world. You do not pass a course by just passing a test, you must demostrate that you can apply your course of study. Each church organization is meshed up to be able to help the other grow and is also designed to allow a smooth co-existance,thus information is passed along each department or division uniformly.Mistakes along the way,if made are dealt with efficiently. The structure allows little room for error because each individual is always held accountable and the consequencies for a major flop are harsh.Work and educational ethics are held with outmost regard, with someone closely watching each individuals progress and i guess that is why the church has survived numerous attepts to dismantle it.So,as to the church's belief factor one can conclude they are quite out there in a mist but some applicability in its organizational and educational teachings can benefit alot of people out there.

The Church of Scientology has a practical method in someways of teaching some people on how to survive better in life and when they teach, they make good of it but as in all organizations they too are prone to imperfections, hey! they are humans too even though they claim to have a method to teaching one to attain a higher form of existance and they do not have all the answers as they claim to have on the human condition which is very misleading. Also remember the church has a mission to "clear" the planet of it's ills just like any other religious organization on planet earth.

Save The Children

Mission and Priorities

Our mission is to create lasting, positive change in the lives of children in need in the U.S. and around the world.

Our priorities are to ensure that children in need grow up protected and safe, educated, healthy and well-nourished, and able to thrive in economically secure households.

We provide a wide range of programs, including:

Training community health workers to care for newborns and young children; In fact, by the time I got off the phone with him, I was steaming—and wanted to tell the guy to take a long walk off a short pier!

Let me preface my story with a little background. My family and I are house shopping, so we’ve been spending a lot of time driving around in our target neighborhoods looking for the ideal home. When we find something we’re interested in, we just pick up the cell phone, call the number on the sign and set up a showing.

For the past few months, this system has worked perfectly for us—until last Friday, when I called the listing realtor on one particular home.

His tone was rude and beligerent from the get-go. I don’t know if he’d had a bad day, didn’t want to be bothered on a Friday or what. All I know is, his tone of voice was rude, he said some things that made me feel like a total idiot, and he basically insulted my intelligence!
Once I hung up the phone and, a while later, got over my initial anger, this experience got me thinking: What does the way we communicate with customers say about us?
Do we truly listen, invest time and money helping solve their needs, and make them feel like they’re more important than anyone or anything?

I read a great article over at Advisor Today titled The Customer Is King that I think addresses this issue perfectly. The basic message the author, Troy Korsgaden, conveys is that it truly doesn’t matter what you think or feel. What’s really important, instead, is that you’re willing to put yourself on the line by:

1.Placing the customer first
2.Treating him as a valuable commodity vital to your business, and
3.Ensuring his satisfaction in every way possible—no matter what the cost

Korsgaden says something that rings so true for me following my maddening experience: “Remember that you can never help your customer too much.”

I wish I could relate and explain the significance of this idea to that realtor. Instead, I’ll leave these thoughts with you and hope they make a difference for you in the way you do business.

First, how do you treat customers? Does your tone of voice relay frustration on a bad day, or do you make an effort to conceal how you’re feeling and put the customer and his needs first?

Second, are you willing to go the extra mile by listening, being empathetic when needed, avoiding assumptions that may or may not be true, and always keeping your promises?

I’ll tell you one thing, that realtor who treated me so badly didn’t just lose a sale; he muddied his name, the name of his company and the reputation of both…and that’s a very high price to pay for less than five minutes on the phone.

Enjoying the Classics: How to Insure Your Old Relic

For classic car enthusiasts who can't wait to hop behind the wheel and parade their latest find, insurance is a must. With thousands of dollars poured into the wheels they've pruned and modified with new body parts, engine replacements and other major updates, protecting their investment just makes sense.

But the right protection on a standard vehicle isn't necessarily the right protection on these rare finds. Because of their age, value and the cost of replacement parts, old stand-bys are often in a class all their own, requiring special policies to cover those prize speedsters, convertibles, muscle cars or simply older vehicles from days gone by.

Classic Car Insurance vs. Traditional Insurance

While traditional auto insurance is designed to protect cars that are driven daily and often put in harm's way on the road, insurance for relics offers a different kind of protection for a different kind of car.

Most owners drive their vehicles only to shows, exhibitions and the like, adding a minimum number of miles to their car's odometer each year. Because of this limited amount of driving, classic cars need more basic coverage and are often cheaper to insure than newer, more traditional automobiles.

On the other hand, parts can be much harder to obtain and replace in case of theft or damage. That's why most insurers require the vehicles to be garage-kept under lock and key: to lower the risk of insurance claims.

Special Considerations for Special Cars

Because these vehicles usually appreciate in value, it's often difficult to derive a realistic estimate of their actual worth. And with various modifications performed from one owner to the next, owners need to make sure their cars are adequately insured, depending on that bottom line.

Under traditional auto policies, vehicles involved in accidents are either repaired or totaled and a check issued to the owner for actual cash value. But in the case of classics, value is usually determined through "Agreed Value." This method sets each car's worth based on a prior amount agreed upon by both the car insurance company and the insured, and guarantees that owners receive what they are due if and when they suffer loss—with no deduction for depreciation (as with actual cash value policies).

When older cars undergo long term repairs, or their owners refrain from driving them for long periods of time, it's wise to cut the insurance policy back to only fire and theft coverage. This helps save money, yet still covers the vehicle on those special occasions when it's out on the road.

In Mexico, Insurance Can Help, but Only So Much

When spring rolls around, thousands of college coeds head south to Mexico, where warm temps, sandy beaches and cheap drinks fuel all sorts of reckless behavior.

According to the U.S. State Department's web page on Mexican travel, "Alcohol is implicated in the majority of arrests, violent crimes, accidents and deaths suffered by U.S. citizen tourists." When college kids are involved, I suspect the percentage jumps even higher.

That said, even teetotaling visitors can encounter problems south of the border, with property theft and Montezuma's Revenge being the more common small-scale annoyances. On the extreme end of the spectrum, there's murder, extortion, kidnapping, rape, which are regular occurrences in parts of the country, particularly the large cities and border towns.
Which brings us to insurance. It's certainly not a bad idea to consider getting some coverage for you or your child before heading to Mexico.

Things you can insure:
.Trip cancellation/delay
.Car accidents and theft
.Stolen possessions and lost luggage
.Emergency evacuation and medical care

In March 2009, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners issued a consumer alert regarding spring break travel, reminding students and parents that "neither American auto nor health insurance will generally be accepted outside of the United States." Travel insurance can fill the gaps.

Note: When shopping for travel insurance, be sure to speak with a licensed agent and review policy coverages carefully before purchasing. DO NOT buy a policy from an unlicensed seller. Check with your state department of insurance to verify an agent's or agency's status.
Of course insurance can't cover everything. And that's where common sense comes in.

Things you can't insure against:

.Getting a bad sunburn/tan line
.Embarrassing yourself after too much tequila
.Crossing a Mexican drug dealer
.Getting thrown in a Mexican prison

To all potential visitors to Mexico, especially those who just finished exams, I would like to pass on this sage advice, which comes from Foreign Policy writer Preeti Aroon:

1.If you're not going to do it at home, think twice about doing it in Mexico.
2.Watch what people put into your drinks.
3.Remember that it's not a theme park; it's a sovereign country with laws.
4.[Don't] take a vacation from your common sense.
5.Enjoy your vacation in moderation.
6.Don't be incited by others to do crazy things.
7.Do what your parents told you.

In other words, don't act like a jerk, go easy on the booze and have fun. And wear sunscreen.

The Only Way to Survive Online During Economic Crisis

Let's not be pessimistic and indulge in over-drama, but it is a fact that the whole world is experiencing serious financial problems. Yes, this is not a pleasant thing to experience, but this is a chance to make more money, especially online.

No one is going to brainwash you that making money in the Internet is easy. It has always been tough and now it gets even more difficult. But there is one simple fact that no one is going to deny - if you can get TARGETED traffic to your sites, you will always have money from the Internet, even during the recession times and crisis economy. This rule worked from the first days of the Internet and will work until the last days of the Internet (fingers crosses for ages of life to it).

Yes, this is not a secret, targeted traffic is your key to making huge money. But getting this traffic is a real job. It takes time, efforts and money and - most often - you have to be prepared to wait a lot before you see any results.
From its successful experience Free Traffic System team believes that 1st page in major search engines for your niche keywords is the best way to get stable and targeted traffic. During the prelaunch period of 2 months since September 2008 Free Traffic System has helped dozens of people to get 1st page in Google and other search engines. These people - Free Traffic System "success test team" - are simple people with web sites in different niches: health, arts, business management, currency trading, loans, computer games, advertising, spiritual improvement, etc. The proofs are published on Free Traffic System official page.

For free these people got their nice positions in search engines and this increased targeted traffic to their sites. It means they seriously increased the chances to make more sales, get more subscribers, clicks on the batters, signups to lead capturing forms - anything that gives real money in the Internet.

Very soon you are going to see that advertisers will shrink their online budgets. But they will keep paying to the sites with targeted traffic, because this is the only way for the advertisers to survive online.

Now Free Traffic System is officially launched, and you can claim your free membership in it right now. But sorting causes and effects is one of the most difficult things to do, and in this case, some of the causes may have nothing to do with health care.

As Atlantic Monthly writer Megan McArdle noted recently, Americans die in large numbers because of car wrecks and poor diet, neither of which is directly related to our system of health care.

Additionally, for whatever reason, many Americans abstain from healthful physical activity. According to the Centers for Disease Control, a quarter of U.S. adults are not active at all. Surely that one-fourth depresses our worldwide ranking.

Americans have uncommonly good access to care—state of the art clinics and emergency services abound. And America is still the epicenter of medical research and development.

However, many people can’t afford care because they lack insurance. According to 2007 U.S. Census statistics, 47 million Americans, including 9 million children, don’t have health insurance. And that’s up from 44.8 million in 2005.

All this is to say that there are many complexities that arise whenever one talks about health care. The fact that Americans aren’t flocking to Morocco to get health care is perhaps an indication that the WHO report—and our 37th ranking—is inaccurate.

Very few politicians, however, advocate maintaining the status quo of American health care. Most of our leaders take pains to propose “solutions” to what is presumably an imperfect system. And according to a recent Gallop poll, only 52 percent of Americans are happy with their health and medical care, a lower percentage than in India, Iran, Sierra Leone, or Malawi.

But is that because our system is worse, or is it because we Americans expect more than do Sierra Leoneans?

So are we justifiably number 37 in health care? Maybe that’s not even a worthwhile question to ask. Perhaps a better one is this:

What can we do to become number 1?

God is a Sinner

God Is a Human Invention!

I cannot remember a moment in time since i gained awareness on this planet a moment in time, when i have not heard of death and destruction in one place or another around this globe that we inhabit. Why would an all knowing god allow such devastation and waste of human life. Why does a god allow his own creation to kill and maime at will, not only amongst his own image creation, the human species but also the other species of his creation. Why create and also allow destruction.

If god is all that mighty, why does he allow it to happen, why does god allow evil to be part of his domain. Why does god demand that we be his faithfull sheep while at the same time allow this same herd to partake in evil doing. God must be toying with his own creation, god must be full of mischief enjoying and watching as his creation destroys itself, god must maintain a games condition that he alone enjoys. God must be a sinner since as a creator why let death and destruction by the hand of his creation happen. Why allow hiscreation to destroy all that he has created.

If i have a god then my god is one of creation and he does not destroy or allow the destruction of anything that is within his domain. My god is the creator that does not destroy. My god's beingness is one of good and not of evil and evil is not in my god's being and he will not entertain evil as part of his domain.A god of creation does not destroy or allow destruction and does not allow his herd to destroy itself or his creation. An almighty god would not alow that to happen because he is not a sinner.

My god is not a sinner and thus will not let us destroy or allow evil to thrive in his domain and let the following occur, for in definition my god would not allow the following evil to occur in his domain.

God will not let his people be morally bad or commit wrongfull things on others or themselves and wickedness would never be there.

God will not allow anything that causes harm, misfortune, or destruction may it be an individual or nature at large and would not be part of a world that will let a leader's power to do both good and evil. All leaders would only be made to be good and the bad eradicated.

An evil force, power, or personification does not exist in my gods domain.

All cause effect or source of suffering, injury, or destruction has no place in his domain and the social evils of poverty and injustice are nowhere to be seen.
Online Shopping With Her In Mind For A Gift That Will Keep Her Giving

I have always believed that a special gift on Valentines Day for my significant other, goes along way in maintaining a giving relationship and most of all, blissfull loving peace for the rest of the year.My shopping is done online and i make sure that the delivery is made to my office and not at home.

It is important that throughout the whole year,i pay attention to what her needs are and what she wants.I find it quite easy to read between the lines, for those indicators that tell me of her wants and needs as the year rolls on.I mostly go with what she needs as opposed to what she wants. When we go out shopping i pay special attention to what she likes, looks at and wishes for.I watch and make mental notes of what she likes to wear on a regular basis, especially clothes and jewelry.I want the Valentines Day gift to be a personal one to her and definitely not an item that we both can use.Items like furniture for the home or communial gifts will not work i learned that the hard way.A personal gift solely for her is what she wants.

I do not gift items that are perishable,i combine them all, flowers,a card, jewelry or clothing and most of all an outing not to the next door beer hole or anything local but somewhere a little off the way from our locality. We spend the night out of the house and i make all the arrangements making sure that i do not do the same thing every year. She might expect a night out on V-Day but she will never know where.

My lady loves clothes and jewelry as indicated above, nothing extravagant but something that she can wear and recall where it came from.I am not a patient shopper but as the year goes by,i browse through different websites for something that catches my eye.I do not necessarily purchase my valentines day gifts in February,if something catches my eye and the price is right,i will make make the purchase at any time of the year and all i have to do is make sure it is well hidden. As i said before, once i see something that she would love i make the purchase and if i feel that it might not work for her,i replace it with something else and keep the current one for another spontaneous occation. My lady goes through alot of changes as far as her needs and wants go,so i always go with the flow and so far i have not failed in always giving her a gift that she adores on valentines day,as long as i stick to clothes and jewelry.

A bottle of perfume to go with a piece of apparel goes along way in consolidating the gift and i do so believe in mixing it up and she loves it alot.A lone gift will not work, you have to move up the ladder towards the most prized gift,it makes it fun and meaningfull because what i am telling her is that i appriciate all the fun and love she brings into my life. Its not all about the actual gifts that i have shopped for her that matter most. Its the way i present them to her and buying several items for her makes it a valentines day worth waiting for because she rewards back in return in one huge joyous way.
<img width='1' height='1' nation thrives and grows on this planet and on the same token i have seen the deteriolation of the so called third world countries as they try hard to compete within this huge and complicated social, economic and political world of today.

Industrialized countries have structure and a common goal to better themselves within the social, economic and political triangle. They mesh them together towards a common goal, even though this same goal contains many differences of opinion on how to achieve the end product.

On the other hand i find, third world countries especially those of Africa, to have no commonality even though they have it on paper. They, in my opinion seem to be more in common in the achievement of individual or should i say, the gain in personal material wealth. The aid that is granted to these nations by industrialized nations, is squandared by individuals in power and does not filtrate to those it was intended for. As the rich get wealthier and hold most of the land as their own ( note they do not even cultivate the land to better the masses within their nation but use it for exports in order to gain better profits ) the poor get even more improvished and depend on relief from non-profits from these same industrialized nations. With some of the vast resources available in these lands, it is a pity that those in power do not use the land to better their own people, it is a pity that these same men scream foreign interference when their people are dying of hunger, blaming their internal problems on all kinds of made up nonsense, while all along they have had the resources to make sure that they do have a surplus in food etc. when a natural catastrophe occurs. These same men are not stupid but on the most part educated but driven by selfish greed and superficial status grandeur. They promise alot but give nothing back.

It is time that people recognize the fact that those they elect into office during general elections are the same people or should i say the same character of individuals that they have been electing to office since independence and nothing will ever change but the layout of the cities and suburbs, with hotels, lavish houses etc. places that the poor dare not step into, while in the outskirts of the cities lies shanties in dire circumstances, where people die daily due to hunger and disease due to poor medical care, while the leaders are living it up with a superficiality of a western cultured individual in their guarded mansions, hopping on airplanes to London for medical treatment because they do not trust their own doctors or hospitals.

It is time industrialized nations stopped supporting leaders that do nothing to better the standard of living in these so called third world countries.

It is time that the people in third world countries realized that the independence of a nation means to be self sustained and not being dependant on another and that true leadership only comes from a leader who does his or her job as a public servant and not one that steals from them in order to enrich themselves.
<div style="margin-bottom: 0.75em; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; small village in central Kenya,an area at the foothills of the Aberdare mountains an area of high skies, green vegetation, plush bushes and tall immense trees,criss-crossed by meandering streams and a river with a modest waterfall. This ancient land bares many ancient myths and stories of god like creatures that roam the land, instill fear on it's human inhabitants and are part and parcel of the landscape, meaning that every grain of grass, soil or otherwise has been touched by these mythic creatures.

These creatures known to the Kikuyu people, africans that migrated to this area centuries ago are known as Irimu.Creatures that in reality are giants of different shapes and sizes, creatures with two, three heads, tails, large eyes and carnivorous teeth but are also known to take the likelihood of humans or any other creation in the area.

This is a story of trust, culture and morals,a story of self discovery and it starts in the month of October in the year 1950 where a British settler and his family nestled in a large farm in an area known as Muranga are expecting a visitor an American scholar who was going to try and uncover the mystery of the Irimu.A writer and researcher of African tribal Myths,Devlin Forster had travelled vastly within the African continent and had just concluded a lengthly project in Rhodesia( now Zimbabwe ) and had come across the Kikuyu Irimu myth through a man servant,a kikuyu from this same area of Muranga now working in a farming community in the country.Having decided to look into the matter Devlin contacted a friend in Nairobi,Kenya who in turn introduced him to the Mcoy family, the British settlers. The Mcoy's accepted his proposal of staying at their farm for a while so that he could do an extensive research on the myth. The Mcoy's who had owned and operated the land for over 110 years and knew the locals well, had heard of the Irimu myth, they had never belived the stories but knew well enough to respect the beliefs and customs of the kikuyu and did not dwell on it or even give a hint of disputing the matter.

Devlin thought it strange that he was going to start his new project in the month of October, haloween festivities practiced in his homeland were in full swing,ah! how he was going to miss it all.

Upon arrival at the Mcoy settlement Devlin immediately embarked on his research, having been refered to an old woman who was well versed in the myth.Wairimu as she was known, was part of a clan known for it's spiritual and occult activities a revered clan among the kikuyu people.Meeting Wairimu was a thrill for Devlin,he noted how frail she looked but was impressed by her energy and vigor. When he sat down on the wooden stool provided to him in her smoke filled hut,he noted all the wood and stone charms adoring the floor and walls.Wairimu explained that they represented all the Irimu's that she had encountered in her lifetime and that each one of them contained a little bit of each individual Irimu's spirit.Devlin in turn told her that they looked very much like gargoyles and other creatures that people from his home wore when celebrating haloween. In return Wairimu stated that maybe the celebration was for one and the same Irimu's of her homeland.Devlin found it quite preposterious that this would be the case.Wairimu told Devlin that in order for him to have a good hold on his research he will have to face an Irimu in person at a designated place and time and to his astonishment she stated that the Irimu were expecting him and have been for quite a long time now.Devlin found her statement funny, that this old primitive woman would want to scare him or even make him think that this mythic creature was real. How preposterous he thought as Wairimu continued by pointing towards the direction of the area where he would venture,an area miles away across the Abadere mountains, dense forests and small streams the place where he would meet an Irimu and Irungu her grandson would be his guide.

Although Devlin felt that this was going to be a wild goose chase,he trusted Wairimu and because for the first time he had been challenged towards meeting the real thing,he felt compelled to see it through. In all his research he had never had someone tell him so confidently that he would meet the subject in question,so he accepted the challege not because the thought that it would lead to something real, but because her conviction in the reality of this Irimu would make good writting material and the journey in itself would also provide some great insight of this ancient land.

Devlin found Irungu his guide to be ignorant and a bore, mostly because he Irungu did not talk much and his answer to each of his questions was glib and without definition as he wished it to be.Devlin concluded that he did not know as much as his grandmother had made it out to be.The journey in itself was trying and long,Irungu walked infront, saying nothing much in his broken english, this frustrated Devlin who got most of his insight on things through constructive conversations, his only consolation was that he knew that he would get to his destination in the end.The landscape was a wonderfull sight,Devlin noted how natural and primitive it looked, how creation can be so beautifull, how nature has the capability of uplifting ones spirit and imagination. There were plants, animals and insects in abundance, creatures he never imagined even existed,it felt good despite his current company. The days were hot but comfortable, the nights warm and felt even better,Irungu knew where he was going and like clockwork knew when it was time to rest or put up camp for the night.

On the thirteenth day of as a matter of factly Irungu anounced that they had come to their journey's end.

The village was small with a few huts scattered around a small area, there were no children playing around infact there was not a soul in sight and this was very parculiar because this was not the norm when one comes across an afican village in the late afternoon.Devlin made Irungu aware of his observation but all he got from him was a deep grunt.Devlin obsetrved a mist an odd looking mist hovering above the whole village,a gray mist with spotty white specks all over it, and a distinctive rainbow running on top, curious how low to the ground the rainbow was,Devlin had never seen anything like it and the only thing he could think of was that there must be some scientific reason.Irungu sat his belongings right outside the village area and made a fire,he also sat some figurines on the ground around the fire. When Devlin asked Irungu why he had done so,the answer he got back was that single grunt.Meanwhile nobody came out of the village to greet them and it was still and very quiet,Devlin in frustration conluded that he indeed had ventured on a wild goose chase,he tried to walk towards the village but Irungu stopped him, scolding Devlin in anger, letting him know that it was not time.

Darkness set in and as the night went on,Devlin noted how much warmer it felt at this particular place and how much he felt at peace, indeed it was better than any of the nights before,he could not even remember a night that felt better in his life.At dawn Devlin was woken up by Irungu's incoherrent chanting,a mumbling of words he could not comprehend, what he saw when he finaly opened his eyes drove him into a dark abyss of unconciousness,he had never been so shocked in his life.Around staring down on him was his father now dead three years and his grandfather who he had only seen on a photograph, how could this be? This was too much to bare,he felt light headed as a warness came across his whole body and then there was nothing.

When he awoke,Devlin was alone on a cot in a dark space, with a flicker of a fire going,he looked around and noted that he was in a hut and apart from the fire and the cot that he lay on the hut was bare.He stood up with unease his legs shaky, thinking about the image he had seen of his dead father and grandfather and concluded that he had imagined it or dreamt it all.None of his belongings were in the hut and annoyed he figured that his guide Irungu had drugged him with the food he had provided, robbed him of his property and thus the bad dream and hallucinations.Devlin finding strength walked outside in anger and ready to do battle. He was set back with what he saw, sitting facing the hut he had just walked out of was his father and grand father accompanied by twenty-five other people he could not recognize.Irungu stood behind them all,the only one standing, while the rest sat in a semi circle a fire lit in the middle,Devlin felt faint again but managed to keep himself out of darkness with the help of a voice so familiar, his father's voice, calling on him to sit down on a wooden stool in the middle by the fire.He must be still be dreaming Devlin thought but it all seemed too real.

It's time,Devlin heard his father utter,it's time for you to die as you are so that you can live as you realy are and Irimu, the Irimu in you must live. What? What is he talking about, dying me die!Why should Devlin have to die, what Irimu what kind of nonsense is he talking about?

Devlin my son,he heard that so familiar voice say,you have always been and always will be an Irimu,we come from a very long line of Irimu's and dying today does not mean dying in the sense of the mortal human death, but the death of the mortal so as to gain your immortallity as an Irimu, you can always change yourself into human form but your Irimu self will become the dominant form.As this words reached him everyone else except Irungu began to change and transform into gigantic creatures all of them including his father and grandfather began this hidious transformation, his father with two heads, his grandfather with a head of a scorpion. The larger they got they gushed out vomit that rested well onto Devlin and in turn he felt better than he had ever felt, stronger with a vison so clear so vivid,he felt his hands shake while feeling the changes taking place in and around his body,Devlin heard himself scream and not with a voice he recognized,he looked at Irungu who was jumping up and down,Irungu Irungu what is happening to me? Irungu shouting back,Devlin i just brought you back home,Wairumu and i are the gurdians of your kind, the Irimu, live well Irimu my job is done as Devlin noticed his third head pop out of nowhere.

Taking the Image of Another

For Those Men And Women Of African Descent Who Change Their Appearance To Look Like The Natural Look Of The European.

So soft so elegant

A head to match,

The eyes that sparkle,

Those ears that dovetail to a wool above,

The elegance of that wool atop thy head,

A nose so perfect on a face of beauty,

For that woolen top to adore.

How dare you destroy

A woolen top of yours,

Dare you adjust to what belongs to another,

You speak of thy roots,

But burn and weave thy hair to the image of another.

Confused are you,

To dwell on another,

Destroying thy image with that of another,

For that beautifull wool no more.

Restore that wool,

For what you behold at birth,

Should not be CHANGED to MIMIC that of ANOTHER.

Quotations on the poems subject:-

Encyclopedia Britannica in 1798 (qtd in Morton 2002) characterized African male and female physiques in the following terms:

Round cheeks, high cheek- bones, a forehead somewhat elevated, a short, broad, flat nose, thick lips, small ears, ugliness, and irregularity of shape, characterize their external appearance. The negro women have the loins greatly depressed, and very large buttocks, which give the back the shape of a saddle.

The following year, 1799, Charles White, a British surgeon , characterized white physique in the following terms (also qtd in Morton 2002): … nobly arched head, containing such a quantity of brain, and supported by a hollow conical pillow, entering its center […] perpendicular face, the prominent nose, and round projecting chin […] variety of features, and fullness of expression […] long, flowing, graceful ringlets; that majestic beard, those rosy cheeks and coral lips […]

Negritude and other counter narratives of black Africa devoted a large corpus to the projection of an image of the African female as beautiful, mothering and caring. Still, what Morison (1992) referred to as ‘racial hierarchy’ or ‘racial exclusion’ in the context of politics continues to extend to matters of body and beauty up to contemporary times.

The notoriety of worldwide beauty pageants derives not only from their mean, impersonal and largely unattainable body and beauty standards, and the interpersonal bitterness they excite amongst participants, but also for being one more site for continued racial and cultural Othering. When in 2004 a black woman, incidentally a Nigerian, Agbani Darego, was at last adjudged world beauty queen, the crown was tainted by insinuations that the title was more a tribute to ‘affirmation action’ on the part of the white jury than a genuine appreciation of her beauty’s worth by the racially skewed body, notwithstanding that that body, Agbani Darego’s, did attempt to approximate contemporary white standards of extreme thinness as female beauty.

While, universally, “our bodies and body parts are loaded with cultural symbolism and so are the attributes, functions and states of the body” (Synnott 1993: 1), an examination of Nigeria African body and beauty inscriptions assembled from diverse sources in the relevant language and literature reveals differences in value perceptions and projections.
